Dynamic Waterjet Technology
Forget your ideas of Waterjet cutting with un-square edges and merely roughed out parts. Unlike conventional Waterjet cutting, the Dynamic Head® from Flow compensates for the water's kerf angle, by continually adjusting the jet. Minute computer-programmed changes allow us to cut precision parts with almost parallel sides. We can even cut intricate patterns without thickness limitations.
Waterjet Cutting is achieved by forcing a large volume of water at high pressure (55,000 p.s.i.), combined with fine grit abrasive garnet, through a .030" orifice. This focused abrasive water virtually erodes away the material, leaving an appealing sand-blasted finish on the cut edge.
Most of our parts are cut underwater, eliminating the potential of property changes in the material. Heat Affected Zones are not a concern with Waterjet cutting.
Utilizing the Flownest® specialized software program, your parts can be nested for effective and efficient use of your materials. Our Waterjet technicians proudly display their Waterjet "skeletons" that save you money.
